Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
