19 of the Russian's 21 titles have been achieved on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player claimed his maiden trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has endured a torrid season, managing just one match at the major tournaments and undergoing a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serving in particular - caused him exiting of the elite rankings and finally parting ways with long-term trainer Cervara.
Currently training with Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has consistently improved in the recent weeks - peaking in a tightly fought competitive victory over opponent Moutet.
It is Medvedev's first championship following the Rome competition and first on a hard surface after March of 2023.
Victory also indicates Medvedev has achieved twenty-one championships at 21 various competitions.
"For the first time I have attended a competition with my children simultaneously, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," said tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my child her name, because the first title I achieved when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six finals, comprising in that event previously this season.
His defensive strategy and regular emotional displays on the tennis court had prompted some to wonder if his ability to play at the top level was finished.
Yet the player has altered his approach in the past month, attempting to approach the net and perform positively, backed up by an enhanced service.
The champion recovered from a break down in the first set against the tricky opponent, winning four of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
The pair exchanged break points in the following set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden professional title, gained dominance to push for a third set.
The opponent rescued 4 early break points in a close third set before Medvedev won the break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner earned the title with a rally at the front of the court, with his opponent unable to control a return after a lengthy match.
